

I found these old photos recently and was intrigued.
The first photo was the only one with notes on the reverse. It read: 'Road up to remote fighter control at Liangshan.'
After doing some research I discovered that Liangshan was an airport in China during WWII and used by the US Air Force as part of the China defensive campaign in 1942. I was saddened that these photos were just being disregarded & wanted to somehow honor these men featured in the photos.

That’s really nice of you to save the photos. Most likely they were from a father who served in China during WWII and recently died. As the survivors when through his possessions, they just tossed his photos. Sad when you think about it. Glad you saved them. B.
