Yayoi Kusama

"I painted boredom, which is more important in life than the sunlight the Impressionists painted." - Yayoi Kusama

I had the opportunity to see the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the Whitney in New York this past weekend. It was incredible!
There has been so much written about this artist so I'll let the work speak for itself. Here are some links if you'd like to explore more:

mina perhonen

Minä Perhonen is a Japanese fashion house influenced by a love of Scandinavian culture; the clothes have a feminine, romantic style, featuring detailed tailoring, embroidery, patterns and quilting. They sketch all their own textile designs and use narrative designs taken from everyday life and landscapes. Beautiful!
